ABW Radio: Staying Clean w/ Everest Microbial Defense – A Roundtable with its Founders

The sudden presence of the Covid-19 virus this past winter was alarming to everyone across the globe and has also made people become hyper-aware of their hygiene and sanitation habits.  All of a sudden, we’re being instructed by the CDC to keep a 6-foot distance, wear a mask and don’t touch your face!

Well, a company called Everest, pre-dating the onset of Covid-19 by a number of years, has been in the case for a long time.  And as a result, they have reached what we could call The Next Generation of cleaning products which are highly effective and ‘change the game’ in the world of cleaning and sanitation which is why we wanted the co-founders to come on the show to discuss what they have and why it’s beyond everything else that is available.

Mark Whaley is a Co-Founder and a Managing Director of Everest Microbial Defense, LLC.

Everest Microbial Defense, LLC, provides antimicrobial products that protect surfaces and people from germs.  Our unique technology keeps protected surfaces  and items free of harmful and destructive bacteria, viruses, mold, mildew and fungi for extended periods of time without the use of poisons. Everest’s antimicrobial protectant technology protects both hard and soft surfaces for extended periods of time thru a physical, rather than chemical means.

Mark’s extensive experience in the cleaning industry dates back to his start with ServiceMaster Clean in 1987. This vast experience in the service world has been instrumental and foundational in the formation of the Everest Microbial Defense business. During his 30+ years in the industry he has been a Carpet Technician, Salesman, General Manager, Vice President and owner of a ServiceMaster franchise.

Mark is IICRC certified in commercial carpet care, Certified in Healthcare Maintenance -Level 1, a member of the USGBC (United States Green Building Council), a Stakeholder in the Green Seal GS-37 project (the revision of the Green Seal environmental standard for institutional and industrial cleaners), certified by Tandus Floorcoverings as a CertiCare Maintenance Partner and Certified Master Instructor for carpet cleaning technicians. Mark is founder and General Manager of Global Maintenance Solutions, a management company that facilitates regional and national carpet maintenance contracts for carpet manufacturers and their clients.

Mark and his wife, Melissa, and their 4 boys make their home in beautiful Conifer Colorado.

Jay Johnson is Co-Owner with Mark & Managing Director at Everest Microbial Defense.  Prior to the joining Everest Microbial Defense, Mr. Johnson served as Co-Founder and Managing Director of three startup companies, WaveCloud Corporation (dba BookFuel Publishing), Avow Systems, Inc. and Tier1 Innovation, LLC where he oversaw technical product development, professional services management and solution delivery.  Two of these organizations were successfully grown into very profitable enterprises and sold to larger companies in order to complete their strategic positions in the market.

Prior to founding his first startup, Tier1 Innovation, Mr. Johnson served as Director of Solution Delivery at Raymond James Consulting, was in technical management at Siebel Systems, Inc. and was a Director at Texas Instruments, Inc.  He has over 35 years of business and technology experience working with global organizations and successfully received a patent for his technical work.

Mr. Johnson also has over 15 years of experience serving on the Board of Directors for multiple non-profit organizations.  He is currently active in his role with Global Hope, Inc., an organization that serves orphans around the world.  He has also served as a fiduciary board member with several religious organizations.

Mr. Johnson received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1984.

HOW IT WORKS

Before Everest’s EV360™, a cleaned surface only stayed clean until someone touched, sneezed or breathed on it. Surfaces needed to be cleaned again and again to keep up with this vicious cycle. We’ve lived this way our whole lives, cleaning all surfaces posing potential threats to spreading contagious microbes, from the common cold and flu to even superbugs. Although we cannot see them, they’re out for a home. EV360’s microscopic spikes impale microbes and bacteria once they come into contact with this molecular front line.

With EV360™ applied to your home, treated areas stay disinfected for 90 days. The patented formula bonds on a molecular level with all surfaces in a treated area and continues to kill microbes day after day, week after week.  There are an entire series of products to protect you and your environment in an entirely new, very efficient way. And 24-Hour Defense?  A dab on the hands in the a.m. after washing, keeps them free of contamination for 24 hours.  This is revolutionary, evolutionary and the science and lab tests corroborates these claims.
